Peggy’s Cove Community Events

Peggy's Cove Events Gathering on Boardwalk

Peggy’s Cove is home to a handful of community-led events, focused on arts and culture. These popular events include:

Paint Peggy’s Cove, led by the Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts

The Schoolhouse Cèilidh, which runs June through September, led by The Schoolhouse

Spindrift Gallery, led by Peggy’s Cove Centre for Arts & Culture

Christmas at the Cove, led by local business Hags on the Hill

The new viewing deck at Peggy’s Cove is a public space; an inclusive, accessible space meant to be enjoyed by all. Build Nova Scotia is not officially booking event space at the viewing deck, as it is to remain completely and wholly public. Groups are welcome to gather on the viewing deck and celebrate together.

Should you decide to do so, here are some courtesy items to keep in mind:

  • The deck needs to remain open and accessible to the public at all times – areas cannot be cordoned off and no access can be blocked
  • No decorations or balloons of any kind
  • No additional equipment that can create tripping hazards (tables, chairs, av equipment with cords, etc.)
  • No unauthorized vending or selling in the public spaces
